A Gorvell é um coletivo de arquitetos, artistas e artesãos que atua na interseção entre o pensamento crítico e a prática experimental. O corpo humano é o objeto central do trabalho, explorando os seus limites e as suas relações com a paisagem material e imaterial. Instalada em Labruge, no litoral Norte, a Gorvell criou um estúdio, uma oficina e uma galeria, articulando práticas espaciais, pedagógicas e produtivas.

Entre as atividades realizadas destacam-se:a exposição e performance Superposition no Instituto, Porto (2025); a exposição Geofilia na Brotéria, Lisboa (2025); a instalação CRATERA na Galeria Nuno Centeno, Porto (2023); a participação na Bienal do Design, com curadoria de Fernando Brízio, Porto (2023); a exposição Geração Próxima, com curadoria de Pedro Gadanho, no Centro de Arquitectura, Nova York (2023); o lançamento dos livros Without Walls (2025), Pedra I (2023 e 2021) e Cratera (2022).

Até 2020 parte da estrutura da Gorvell formava a Skrei (2009-2020). Dessa altura destacam-se as seguintes colaborações: Trienal de Arquitectura – Museu Calouste Gulbenkian (Lisboa, 2016); Museu de Arte, Arquitetura e Tecnologia (MAAT, Lisboa, 2017); Centro Cultural de Belém (Lisboa, 2018), Cité du Vin (Bordéus, 2018); Museu da Cidade do Porto (2019); Centro Internacional de Arte José de Guimarães (Guimarães, 2019); Matadero (Madrid, 2019); Royal Academy of Arts (Londres, 2019); MNAC, Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea (2020).

Gorvell is a collective of architects, artists, and craftspeople working at the intersection of critical thinking and experimental practice. The human body is the central focus of their work, exploring its limits and its relationships with the material and immaterial landscape. Based in Labruge, on Portugal’s northern coast, Gorvell has established a studio, a workshop, and a gallery, bringing together spatial, pedagogical, and productive practices.
